Money (Happiness Part III)

Money. This one is easy too. My goal simply is too have a lot of it. But, instead of having this blog contain just three sentences I will discuss in depth my hopes and desires behind and in obtaining all this so called money.

Money is funny really. I like to call it funny money. Which isn't really cute, and every time I use this little catch phrase at the cash register, the cashier whips out that funny little pen and writes on my funny money. (I think I look suspicious.) Seriously, money is nothing but green paper which does a pretty good job of not smudging or falling apart in the washer like all those receipts I collect in my pockets do. So why is something that is so insignificant play such a large role in this whole Happiness equation thing. Well, that is easily answered. Apparently, sometime in the past we determined it is a whole lot easier to exchange worthless crap for little gold or green pieces. Than it is to pawn off other worthless crap you make in exchange for other worthless crap someone else makes. (You can substitute worthless crap for food, clothing, or a Freja Rand if you like.) Well, since I like most people have a proclivity towards collecting worthless crap. The need for money is a real phenomenon.

My goal with my monetary situation is too make a whole lot of money preferably doing something that really gets my rocks off. That is the goal. I want a lot of money for a couple reasons. First, how cool would it be to have the most and newest worthless crap and two having a certain level of financial security is a nice feeling to have. Or at least I assume it is a nice feeling, it seems like a very sound theory, anyways. Yeah, I want to make enough money so that I through a modest and albeit vaguely frugal style of living can support any theoretical family I may or may not collect in my future. To provide food, shelter, clothing, etc etc, a rebuilt nova, and an ipod (for me) thats my goal. I mean who doesn't want a nova and an ipod for their family. It is every persons dream I think. Well, that it is if everyone's desires are similar to mine.

But, the important part of this after making enough money to provide some sembelance of financial stability (preferably through limited debt) is to make this money doing something I love. While I currently like my new job. On a scale to 1 to 10 compared to other jobs I have had it ranks a clear 10. While moving peoples furniture easily ranks as a one. While selling lemonade in Cali is like a 8. I just don't love what I'm doing. And being at an age were I only have to provide financial stability to yours truley, I figure it is worth my druthers to explore different ideas that could bring me closer to the capitalistic dream of getting paid to do something you would do for free. So I have a few ideas in mind and I'll probably be disclosing them at the end of this series. They seem more suited for the meaning phase of this horrible excuse for Michael to write about himself.

So thats about it. If you want to forget all that in the middle and just get the drift of this blog right here. I want to make a lot of money doing what I love to do. Sound easy and elementary huh?
